This is depressing. It's stunning that this isn't reported on more in America, considering this country is supposedly founded on freedom- which includes the freedom to be emo, I'm pretty sure. But you know how it is- if the news publishes an article critical of muslims, suddenly the writers are murdered and the channel/journal/newspaper is accused of being intolerant.

considering the middle east is supposedly the centre of all the Abrahamic faiths, it seems to be the centre for hatred and war. What does that say for those religions? Hardly peaceful... any of them.

Sorry I'm late on this, but I just read this thread for the first time tonight and this remark at the end of the OP is not at all legitimate in my opinion.


I think George W. is a douche bag too, but you can't blame him for religious nut jobs doing horrific things in the name of their violent, blood-thirsty god.

Every teenager in the world gets at least some (or all) of their fashion sense from the fads happening in America and no one is killing kids in France for it. Yes we invaded Iraq. America's politicians suck giant donkey cock, but the killing of innocent teenagers who simply want to be free to express themselves is not our fault. In addition, the article doesn't even come close to saying or even implying that the US has some kind of fault in this.

Those kids got a little taste of freedom and had no idea that the old-school assholes were going to kill them for it.

I wish the US would keep it's fucking nose out of the rest of the world too, but lets lay blame where it belongs in this case.

It was a mistake the Muslims thought the emos were Satan worshippers doing black magic, witches and warlocks.
Some people are very scared of witch craft in Asia, they thought the emos could summon Djinn or worse. The Muslims took the emos seriously as acolytes of evil.
