Some people are very scared of witch craft in Asia, they thought the emos could summon Djinn or worse. The Muslims took the emos seriously as acolytes of evil.

Hmm, are you saying that belief without evidence often leads to horrific atrocities and mistakes.

Time for self-reflection perhaps?
No ...if someone believes a pixie lives at the bottom of their garden I don't think it would lead to bloodshed.
Fear and paranoia is more likely to lead to horrific atriocities and mistakes. You can have crazy beliefs without being religious. And you can't blame the Iraqi people from being so rabid, they have been slaughtered and abused by the USA just because they have some oil. Invaded by Americans, it's enough to drive anyone mad.

So because they're pissed at the Americans they're justified in taking it out and killing some people excuse they don't like their taste in music or clothes.

These people don't deserve any sympathy for whatever things the USA has done to them.

Careful not to tempt fate Xavier, about one thousand years ago the middle east was the centre of scientific and mathmatical learning. They're responsible for the discovery of a sizable chunk of the periodic table and stars. They were on top of their game till some highly influentual radicals started exerting political control and basically claiming mathmatics and science was the devil. After that all discoveries and breakthroughs came to a halt. Its a blow they've clearly never recovered from.
See any similarities? Already got radicals firmly secured in politics. We've already got fanatic extremists blocking breakthroughs that could help mankind like stem-cell research. Not that much of a leap.
Could easily be us, just give it time. We'll be lynching Russell Brand in a few short decades.
