Well, since the position is vacant, how does someone apply for it?
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.

God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?

Bingo. Only I would add "human's frail minds just simply don't NEED to understand." I avoid all this apologetic crap because I never ask any annoying questions. My faith is such that I just believe. Period.

Apologetics is an embarrassment to True Christians like me and any Christian who relies on them is a phony Christian of weak faith.

Now you may call this "brainwashed" but I just call it "faith". Toe-mae-toe, Toe-ma-toe, Poe-tae-to, Poe-ta-toe.

An Atheist with a fake profile? Not surprised. Your faith sure matches that of an atheist.
James Holmes acted consistent with what evolution teaches. He evolved from an animal, and when he murdered those people, He acted like one. You can't say he's wrong since evolution made him that way.

RE: The trinity
@Drich: I always considered the trinity to be akin to a governing body; with the chain of command as the father, then the son, then the holy spirit. However, I never considered the body as a whole as being God. Am I right in thinking that the reason you created this thread was to draw attention to actions in the bible being attributed to the wrong member of the trinity; and specifically where the word "God" is used?

And you claimed hell is nothing correct?

The primary reason for this thread was inspired by a question, asked by someone in another. I knew most of you don't read or at least interact when I direct a response to a specific person. So I opened a new thread rather than hijack the other one.

You also bring up a good point about how the word God is used. That is usually apart of the discussion if the contributors to the thread can get past the initial concept, and care to continue. We will have to get into the Hebrew and Greek names of God and like with the word "love" subdivide it into various attributes and persons of God.
(If you want to know the details)

In short the word "God" in the bible and how we use it generally refers to the Father, but technically can reference any part of the God head. For all are equally "God." Even though they have accepted 3 distinct roles. One as the Father (Decision maker and final authority) the Next as a Hebrew understanding of a son. The one who carries out the will of the Father, and cares for the Families interest personally. Next we have the Holy Spirit who is the part of God that directly interacts and intercedes on our behalf. (He is the proof that you all do not know you are looking for) I know it is easy to see a hierarchy here, but we are told all are equally God. I honestly how that all works, so on this matter I have to take the bible at it's word.

That makes it a polytheism.

Equivocating ad nauseum isn't going to get you anywhere.

You have killed your thesis.

May it rest in pea....the same cesspool from which it came.
