IF GOD EXISTS, THEN HE CERTAINLY DOES NOT CARE FOR YOU AT ALL
November 10, 2012 at 12:12 pm
If god really exists, that does not mean he should be worshipped. It certainly would not imply that he loves you.
Consider this...
You stand over an anthill and contemplate your next course of action. You could do a number of things. You could kick it and stomp every ant until all is destroyed; you could stand there and just watch; you could kill one ant, 2 ants, etc., or no ants; You could walk away and pay no attention; you could step back and watch from a distance; if another colony was marching toward "your" anthill to wage war, you could spray the antagonists with raid; etc., etc., etc.
You hold that anthill's future in your hands. You are their "god." Seeing as how you have the ability to do whatever you desire, then it is logical that whatever you do will be based on what you "desire" to do. Whatever you want to do, you will do. you would not desire to do one thing, yet do another. You would not be held in contempt for your actions and you would know that.
Apply this to god and the earth. If god exists, then all evil is allowed by him to exist and therefore he desires it.
Cristians say: " god is perfect and cannot lie and he said he will always love us, therefore it is true."
Well, if god is all-powerful, who are you to say he can't change his mind? What a god wants to do will become what he does, period, as there would be nothing capable of stopping him.
If god did not desire evil, he would not allow it. If he says, "I'll end it later", this implies that it is currently entertaining him.[/color]

What if the anthill god wanted to do nothing but sit and watch ant behaviour? What if anthill god exercised self-restraint and resisted the temptation to intervene all the time?

Yes but only if its what he desires, which still means he does not desire to end evil, but rather, watch it because it entertains him.

But you agree that anthill god doesnt have to act according to your expectation right?
Anthill god could willfully do the opposite. He could desire no evil in the anthill and yet allow it to arise for some reason.

YES! With the only logical reason being...entertainment; unless, of course, he directly requires evil as some sort of "food" which...

Let's try this one, God is watching you in your every day life, He decides He does not like the way you live your life, so He just stops thinking about you and that's it you're dead. This seems to me to be a God that deserves worship, when a being can just stop thinking about you then there is something to Him, omnipotent. Here's another one, say you are driving home from wherever and you suddenly realize you need to go home a different way to visit a friend. When you get home you see on the news were a terrible wreck killed several people at an intersection you would have passed through at the time of the accident, omniscient God saves your life by a thought, seems worthy of worship to me.
Why do you suppose that you can know the mind of God, you have no idea who He is, it takes a relationship to know Him and that I assure you you do not have.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

So you don't worship this god so much as live in terror of it. What a sad way to live, particularly if it doesn't really exist.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

What if the anthill god wanted to do nothing but sit and watch ant behaviour? What if anthill god exercised self-restraint and resisted the temptation to intervene all the time? This is just a red herring, since bible god doesn't just stand by and watch. That's deism, not Christianity.
The Christian God, as you should know since you purport to worship him, supposedly took out many acts of aggression on his "anthill" early on. And even now, he still intervenes to create miracles, or to punish the unjust (like with earthquakes and hurricanes and stuff). Right? So stop using a deist argument to argue for your interfering Christian god. It fails
Few atheists will argue much against a deistic god, because by its nature, being non-interfering (not even a god of the gaps, except to start the ball rolling I think), there wouldn't necessarily be evidence it existed. This is the exact opposite for extremely interfering bible god of the all 3 Judeo Christian religions.

I do not live in fear of Him, and I did not say I did, you just like to twist others words around so you'll have something to do with your pitiful life.
I live in respect of my God and love Him for the many countless things He's done in my life.

I'm sorry, I don't know where I could have got that impression:
