Actually, correction. Neither of the world's major religions have been proven to be a lie. Except Hinduism, which I think even Hindus admit is BS.
Reasons for mental disorders can be categorized into:
1: Physical: Through braindamage, geneticaly inharited defects, deficiencies and other 2: Social and Environmental: stressfull surroundings within workspace, home, family and a lack of capabilities to relax. 3: Psychological: Through traumatic expiriences such as abuse and violence. Now vincent. Which category would you say influences "mental disorder due to atheism"? you continualy post that atheists are generaly "angry". well anger which is not the result of a action against the "angry" individual only occures in form of psychopaths. Are you saying that all atheists are psychopaths? Or that all atheists were victims of abuse or influenced by any other category of reasons for mental disorder?
2 and 3, Hans.
I don't think anger suggests psychopathy. It suggests irrationality, but not psychopathy. Like, imagine having a logical argument about the merits of financial planning with...Paris Hilton. That kind of irrationality. RE: Total Fucking Fuck You Rant: Please Ignore

Such as traumer through abuse or depression through a instabile inviorment. You suggest atheism to be a reason for such actions? One might aswell equate every single ideology and set of thought known to mankind to have the effect of creating a mental disorder. But you specificaly underlined atheism. I think it sustains pre-existing pathology in a special way, more than most religions. But anger is not necessarily pathological. In this case it's mostly just emotional expression. It's like hating Justin Bieber. It's just an emotional reaction. It has no reason or functional basis. (December 5, 2012 at 3:02 am)Vincenzo "Vinny" G. Wrote: I don't think atheism causes pathology. Quote:But anger is not necessarily pathological. In this case it's mostly just emotional expression. You stated that atheists are generaly angry - thereby pritty clearly stating that anger is pathological within every atheist individual - atheism is not a idiology requireing a certain attitude towards something from everyone - therefor to state that you meant atheism simply causes every atheist to react in the same way of a "emotional expression" cannot be taken serious and stands in contradiction to your previous claim. Hateful Christians are maybe 5-10% of the population. Hateful Hindus 5-10%. Hateful Jews 5-10%. But hateful atheists, filled with anger and hatred towards other religions is like 90% of atheists. It's special among us. We can both agree on this. |
