She should definitely be charged with attempted murder. I mean, it's not as if you could a) accidentally flush a child down the toilet, or b) intentionally fluch a child down the toilet with the expectation that it would survive.

I thought he was Atheist though...I'm not so sure. There are many areas of the world where people can kill babies without fear of reprisals unfortunately, that's the sad part.

Clearly you don't subscribe to it, but there is a common conception that failures in verbal communication are the result of the speaker not considering how to best communicate his ideas to his target audience.

In any case, I have no intention of getting into a debate over this. I merely wanted to point out that your meaning was not as clear as you indicated you thought it was.

I agree with the conception, but I don't agree that it applies in this case.

But why not? I'm genuinely interested how that post could've have been misunderstood in such a dramatic fashion. It's kind of a big deal, and there is no guarantee such a misunderstanding cannot occur in the future if we don't thrash out the details.
