Are Atheists Angry?

If anything, religion is detrimental to creativity. For example James Joyce was Ireland`s greatest novelist, if not the greatest novelist of the past century - yet some of his works were banned in Ireland and all of it was shunned by the catholic church which had control over Irelands cultural and educational ministries. There is absolutly no great creativity needed to imagine a dictator (god) and a torturechamber (hell) to keep subjects in check. Not where I am, but for some regions. I don't wonder at the power of imagination (what power? Tis a curse if anything)... and have a great deal more than love alone (money's nice).
I am not annoyed at extremists (I rather find them funny), and I'll be 'at peace' when I die. I'll certainly be happier and more content with my non-peace in a couple of years, though I don't bother worrying about the world. It's a hell of a lot better than it could be... and less filled with suckage than it was. Ain't nobody got time for option D. Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam

I quite enjoy entering a church.... for one, I tend to go there in the summer, as a tourist. Old [southern] european churches offer some breathtaking architecture. Really large, all sculpted, all beautiful... and refreshingly cool, considering the blistering heat outside. I admire the artisans that worked on all that... the money something like that would cost nowadays... -.-'
I know for a fact that some Atheists are pretty angry all the time, apparently Christopher Hitchens was complaining about capitalism on his death bed which I found rather weird, but that's what happens when anger consumes your life.

So? What about complaining about capitalism? And how can one be "consumed" by anger? Anger is essential to ones life, I embrace it and try to control it, it helps me to stay focused and motivates me, when channeled correctly.
It is stupid to be mad at evolution. It is ok to be mad at absurd claims and ignorance however. Evolution is a process like a weather pattern of DNA being shuffled like a deck of cards. However it does not have an apex goal nor is fact finding required to reproduce. It is a myth that evolution is about "survival of the fittest", all that is required to make it work is reproduction. So thus, stupid people and unhealthy people can reproduce.
Having said that, I think it is very reasonable once you know the earth is not flat to be mad at idiots still insisting that it is. That does not mean we should be physically cruel or genocidal because people claim stupid shit. All it means is that we are being reasonable by calling bullshit bullshit. I see nothing wrong for example calling out the sexism of all major religions. I see nothing wrong with being mad at the homophobia it promotes. I see nothing wrong with hating the religious violence and attempts even in the west to oppress women's rights. But I do warn atheists that you are not going to get a utopia anymore than a theist will. Pick your battles and know what you can change. Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
