California Female Inmates Sterilized

RE: California Female Inmates Sterilized
I'm not even sure why it's even a right to be able to push out as many babies as you want when you have no means to support them. With life expectancy on the rise, and child mortality at it's lowest ever, we're going to have to introduce some kind of popultion control at some point. Maybe starting now before we're overpopulated would be a good idea, and prisoners are as good a place to start as any.

Actually -you're- as good a place as any. Volunteering others for such a thing isn't so hot.
(as to the op, if they have consent forms signed...meh, people make bad decisions that they later regret, I'm sure it's not made any easier if there's a coercive element - but that's difficult to establish). Rock and a hard place, do we say that prisoners are not allowed the medical care that we are allowed -in the case of those who want the procedure...if only to prevent incidents whereby someone is coerced or later regrets the procedure from being carried out by the minions of the state against charges of the state..essentially?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Thats too bad, keep in mind your jesus freak (and otherwise incapacitated) neighbors are pumping em out. That means fewer "you's" and more a "thems".

Just food for thought.

Nothing like outright lying to make a point.

There is the implication that consent/non consent is part of their paperwork.

Here is one who didn't have the procedure:

"Jeffrey provided copies of her official prison and hospital medical files to CIR. Those records show Jeffrey rejected a tubal ligation offer during a December 2009 prenatal checkup at Heinrich's office. A medical report from Jeffrey's C-section a month later noted that she again refused a tubal ligation request made after she arrived at Madera Community Hospital."

That is a paper trail right there.

What's missing is the required oversight board sign off.

You could seek forgiveness for that by having yourself cloned.

I'm pretty sure I'm the type of female to eat my own young so it would be a moot point in the end anyway.

Oh, good catch. My sloppy reading.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

If I could get voluntarily sterilized right now, I would.
