I mean, this is my favorite time of year (can you guess why?), so I'm a bit biased, but I guess I'm wondering: why would anyone be opposed to it?

I'm all for it, but I only watch American football. I keep up with baseball a bit, but mostly because my father-in-law loves it.
My first thread will be "My team sucks, but at least my quaterback isn't a rapist."

So, the votes are heavily swayed towards a "yes" for a sports section. Most people support it and I think it warrants to be created, so we'll do that. Better late than never.
Now, we just have to think of a name for the new section (or forum/subforum/category/whatever-you-wanna-call-it). How about "Sports/Various Physical Activities?"
