I still think Obama has more IQ points than Bush. Unfortunately, just like Bush he's more worried about how his corporate friends' bank accounts are doing than actually governing this country in a more positive direction. I've been teetering for awhile on whether I like Obama or not. This Syria fiasco pushed me over the edge.

When Obama was running for president the first time around, my opinion of him was that he seemed sincere, but I thought he lacked the experience for the job. I didn't vote for him for that reason (nor did I vote for McCain, I wanted no part of sending a Republican to ANY position of power after the prior 8 years). I wanted to like the guy, and I wished him well after he took office. What an utter disappointment. He's every bit a tool of the so-called 1% as his predecessor. Hopefully in 2016 the Democrats will put up some decent candidates, though I won't hold my breath. I'm pretty certain that the Republicans are going to double down on batshit crazy again. It's just that Bush set the bar pretty low.
I think I'm done voting for democrats for presidency, and I'll never vote republican. Time to vote third party from here on out.
I don't buy that argument at all. If we are tired of a two party system, then we should stop voting like that. Whoever I mark the page with my vote - that's who I am voting for.

Whoever I mark the page with my vote - that's who I am voting for. Two party system is a dominant reality, whether you like it or not. If you don't vote for the party you hate slightly less, you increase the chance of the party you hate slightly more. Your actions would have had zero effect upon the zero chance that a third party has. Every third party to the left of the democrats, regardless of their avowed intentions, is in practical effect an electoral arm of the Republican party, just as every third party to the right of the republican is in practical effect an electoral arm of the Democratic party.
Whether you buy it or not does not invalidate the idea. The legal obstacles to 3d party candidates are such that any such vote is a waste of time. They can't win. They have to jump through hoops just to get on the ballot in all 50 states.
That does not have to be our reality and you are only reinforcing it.
