I believe the OP has expressed his honest opinion of Islam based on his experience. This is called 'anecdotal evidence' and not accepted by scholars in forming a general principle. Nor by me.

Every religion has it's extremest. Some mormons believe that girls are perfectly able to be wives at the age of 13, and I am sure they are not the only ones.

Some muslims believe that girls should be perfectly able to be wives at age 8 ;-) Since at that age Aisha was married to the prophet Muhammad according to the Hadiths. If the ultimate prophet of god can marry a young girl, why cant the average Muslim male.

Sorry but how do you know that the speech is true. Im a Shia muslim and i also disagree to that because it is simply made up. There is no religion that accepts this.

Well, I cannot find that quote online but there are numerous examples where islamic judges have cited the legality of marriage between old men and children. Those court cases are real.

BTW, I'm less interested in the differences between the various sects of islam than you are. In fact, I regard any idiot who thinks a dead jew came back to life after being crucified as a xtian and our resident xtians get their knickers in a twist over that one.
