RE: Federal Government Shutdown
And that won't happen as long as the politicians see it as an advantage to keeping control of their state.

And those same districts elect senators as well as local government. The democratic experiment is not going well...

Just goes to show what happens when you elect people who are more interested in party politics and personal power than what's best for the country.

ROFLOL

Federal workers will not be paid? XD

Yes... I can see how it's a good idea to 'shut down' the government and cease the funding of a million and a half soldiers (and everyone else who gets a government check). Wink

I think its funny their website couldn't handle a measly 1,000,000 hits. They can build state-of-the-art NSA facilities that cost hundreds of millions of dollars... but a website? TOUGH!

I wonder how long it will take before the site gets hacked and your personal information is compromised.

Do you now go to a vote as GOP has blocked supply? (please excuse my understanding of just how you parliamentary system "works")

Apparently we don't know either since clearly it isn't working.

They might be getting paid... But commissaries are closed on bases in the US. That's where many military families get their food and supplies. Also, military personnel will be treated at on-base medical facilities, but their families won't. Isn't that just a wonderful way of thanking them for their service? You get paid, but you have to go elsewhere to get food and medical attention for your sick wife and/or kids! And they wouldn't even be getting paid if Obama hadn't signed an order for that to happen.

You're part of the problem if you think anything you said is true.
