Strawman fallacy unless you're assuming that God is not something we ought to care about and has no relevance to our lives at all. The thing is if God exists then yes that something relevant to us, if he doesn't exist then that will still be relevant. You don't compare the deeper questions of existence and life to a jar of sweets. Unless whether the number of sweets is in some way crucial then you would have to hope or have faith/trust in the right number. You can be wrong so can atheists be wrong. I've seen theists who phone the show attempt to make that point even if they don't do it very well.

Here's the thing... *sigh*... The sweets themselves aren't the important part of the analogy... which is why they're one of the things being swapped out at the end of it.

Look the question of the number of sweets in the jar is something that can be physically determined it therefore something science can explain, by taking out the sweets and counting them. Seeing as you can't do that with God it's a strawman fallacy, it isn't comparable as a concept. You can't prove God with science forget about that. No-one is claiming God as a scientific hypothesis it is a faith.

Don't worry about "which religion true" choose one of those options. One or the flaming other make up your mind. Agnosticism isn't for a real man grow some balls. Though to your credit I think you have chosen one, it's the wrong one but fair enough.
Agnosticism really grinds my shit, it's trite to say "God may or may not exist" then going about your life as though he doesn't. Deism is balls as well, why have a God who doesn't do anything? You may as well have no God at all.

Why? Because there's more than those two options, and you fucking know it.
And you seem to finally have grasped the salient point of the candy analogy, which was that not selecting one option does not automatically mean you've selected the exact opposite.
I'm sorry that, in the process, you've revealed that you find an answer of "I don't know," even if it's honest, to be a sign of weakness. It's a pity that you're so enormously intellectually dishonest, that you'll desperately scrabble for any answer, regardless of whether it's right, just to "be a man."
I can see why the thoughtless panacea of religion would appeal to one such as you, at least. You care more about having an answer than whether it's correct or not.

Agnosticism is not a cowardly move at all, its logical as my analogy explained. Anyway my agnosticism depends on the god claim. I am a gnostic atheist when it comes to the christian god, but i'm an agnostic atheist when it comes to a deist god.
