What Min said, Kentucky has sent two great senators to the capital. I'm so very proud of my state. They're a really good cross section of the GOP. The corporate whores and the crazy ones.
As a side note that may not be known outside KY. When Rand Paul got the nomination, McConnell's head nearly exploded. McConnell's pick for junior senator was some other guy I've already forgotten about. Another corporate whore like him.
I'm from the same state that sent Jim Bunning back to the senate in 2004, even after the senator was overtly showing signs of senility. That's my state. So damn red that during the presidential elections, all the networks with their computer maps just have the Kentucky painted in.

The state abbreviation seems appropriate enough.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Such are the joys of living in Jesusland, namely knowing your votes won't count because for every one of you there are thousands of dumbass douchebags voting for Republicans.
