The most important reason anyone is an atheist

Actually, I can't understand what you said on any level.

You claim that materialism is sufficient to explain all the relevant phenomena, but when it proves unable to do so, you never question the underlying monist paradigm. Either you try to pretend the phenomena is an illusion (like conscious awareness) or claim that someday, maybe a materialistic solution will be found.

Now in one sense you are correct, I cannot see a solution based on a physical monist paradigm, or at least find the proposed solutions unsatisfactory. That alone would not make me adopt a dualist position. As an alternative paradigm, dualism solves many of the problems and better accounts for all phenomena. Thus I think it is a better position and not just the last man standing

Except you haven't accounted for these phenomena with dualsim. You've simply pushed back our ignorance with one giant assumption. You say monism can't account for X. I ask how dualism can account for X, and you say the soul. But you can't elaborate any further. So, while I have to make the assumption that monism can explain everything, you have to make both the assumption that the soul exists, and that it explains everything. Not only have you failed to provide anything with any explanatory power, you have to make more assumptions to do so.

Demand evidence, don't listen, piss and moan that your not convinced, insult Christians.

False.

It is more like this:

Atheist: where's the evidence?
Theist: right here.
Atheist: that's not evidence.
Theist: Sure it is.
Atheist: If it was true evidence, it would be accepted by those intelligent enough to accept it as evidence.
Theist: You're just close-minded and stupid.

Actually it's this:

Theist: Look! This evidence PROVES God exists!

Atheist: Erm... No it doesn't...

Theist: Well of COURSE it doesn't! You can't PROVE God exists, you shallow materialistic FOOL!

You would think a man being raised back to life would be evidence enough, but no you want more!

Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

You believe the universe just randomly made itself because Richard Dawkin's or whoever wrote it in a book. Take their word for it eh?

There you go again. I guess Jesus can't teach manners.

Oh well. As long as your ego gets stroked, who cares, right?

Well, actually.... if you get your butt off that high seat and get down to it, you can observe what Edwin Hubble observed and draw your own conclusions from it.
You can go on to study quantum mechanics... actually, no... you can develop your own way of calculating wave equations and come to your own conclusions...
The beauty of science is that you can redo everything all the researchers did and explained in their papers.

.... that is... provided you have enough funding and time.
If you have none, just read what they did, read it with a skeptical mind and realize that what they did was correct... or not... be my guest.
Peer review strives for correctedness, but sometimes fails and allows some incorrect notions to be published.
Be my guest to run through the whole literature... and find the mistakes in the steps taken.

You don't believe the word of the gospels and I don't believe the word of Richard Dawkin's, Sam Harris or whoever, at least when it comes to their stance on God. Ultimately you take on trust what you consider to be the words of authority.

So you need an ego to even dare challenge the atheistic claims and assumptions? I think that says it all.
Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

You believe the universe was just magically proofed into existence because your sky daddy had some gullible louts write it in a book. Take their word for it eh?
