Why can't non-christians talk with god?

So, what would your response be to someone that sought god earnestly but found nothing?

" Seriously if you had an audience with the Alpha and Omega of everything, what could you possibly say?"

I'd have a lot of questions, seriously, a lot of questions.

Dark Night of the Soul?

Plenty of potential there.

That's not a very Christian answer, is it?

How would you explain to someone that sought god earnestly for a prolonged period but found nothing?

If I could, I would be like a prosecuter, demanding answeres for the crimes he commited.

Either you're a hardcore mystic and you will continue through this "cloud of unknowing" or God is allowing you to find what you want to believe.
Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

Do a magic trick for me? I want to win the lottery? Seriously if you had an audience with the Alpha and Omega of everything, what could you possibly say?

One of my first questions would be "who is right?" Which religion?
Another would be "why is the bible such a poor tool?, and why didn't you do better communication with the writers?" I'd ask him why he was such an egotistical maniac over a dumb fruit eaten by a couple of imbeciles. Why does he think eternal punishment for a finite misjudgment by weak minded humans is considered fair to him?

I'd have craploads of questions for him. A big one would be "why would you depend on someone as illogical and intellectually dishonest as the theists on Atheist forums to answer our basic questions?"

As I am not a homosexual looking for god's penis, please leave the gay lover crap off of your responses to me.

Simply put, if you were a dog breeder and you created an type of dog that you loved so much, you would do your best to communicate even with the uncooperative ones before you start the steps of drowning them in a flood or sacrificing your son for their adoration. Simply put, there is a very big logical gap for god to love you so much, but never be willing to answer your "phone calls" via voice unless you were one of his special chosen prophets or answer in any way unless you are mental christian zombie.

I'd be willing, but first, God has to make it known to me that he is there for me to talk to, make it known in such a way that I cannot possibly confuse it for anything else but God.

He doesn't really have a gender nor any physical parts but he can still give you a kiss if he's feeling like it.

What do you think the Old Testament is about/for?

Atheists would be more the zombies, you're a bag of flesh, you amble around aimlessly without purpose, you feed to sustain yourself and that's your lot in life.

He does answer phone calls, you won't see a burning bush or see hear anything though.
Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

That's got to be the worst answer I've ever had a Christian give to that question.

Why would a god not show himself to someone that earnestly seeks him when that person's eternal soul depends on it?
