Outsider's Test of Faith (OTF)

RE: Outsider's Test of Faith (OTF)
Causally dependent on cultural conditions. Important. Cultural conditions. Not the city you live in, but the prevailing cultural conditions where you live. And no, unless your parents are around 5000 years old, they're not even in the running for the cause of Abrahamic monotheism. So again, you're deliberately sidestepping.

No, I am deliberately saying that Mr Loftus is wrong and I'm explaining why.

Except you're not - because he didn't say either of the things you mentioned.

He did say "causally dependent".

Christianity wasnt caused by the culture/country into which Christians accidentally happen to be born.

The city where I live is NOT the CAUSE of my religion.
My parents are not the CAUSE of Abrahamic monotheism.

Mr Loftus has a failure of logic going on here called ''putting the cart before the horse''.

[sigh]

Why was I arguing with you again when I was flirting with an intelligent, handsome atheist instead?

I forgot.

When you figure out whether or not the majority of people come to their religion because they were born into a family of that religion, let me know.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
Abraham was born in Ur.
Moses was born in Egypt.

Those are the places where my religion comes from - not the place where I WAS BORN.

Don't bother Summer. He's being deliberately obtuse.

Why are you a Christian? In what milieu did you become a Christian?
