I have to admit I have mixed feelings on this Pope. On one hand I like, mostly, what I've seen so far. There are things he could definitely move on that I doubt he will. On the other hand, I find myself wondering just how much of it is for publicity from an organisation that has been getting little but bad press for over a decade.

He pipped ted cruz to the post.

That'll thrill the Goppers.

Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken."

I'm the same, I do find the "wonderful, loving, pope" image a bit too good to be true, but in fairness he has been doing good things. I just hope other catholics follow his example and stop giving so much of a shit about willies in arses and focus on following the example this jesus fellow supposedly set.

He's been saying some good things...or at least different things. Not sure what he has "done."

Well he's sold a few things and I read an article one time about him going out and feeding the poor, embracing ugly people etc...

Far more than any other pope I've seen do in fairness to him.

Well, I was TIME's person of the year in 2006, and it ain't all that, so I wouldn't worry too much about it...
