Right, because the subconscious requires dogma to be clung to at all costs to prevent the "self" from breaking down.

Are you really trying to tell us that someone did a study on whether or not the Easter bunny created the universe? OK, I really need to see that one. Link, please Angel Cloud

No, the thinking is that you are trying to bolster your position by a fallacious appeal to authority and quote-mining.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste -- don't pollute it with bullshit.

Huh? You want people to vote on whether you stay or not? Why would you let others determine it for you? If you want to stay, stay. Otherwise . . . .

Letting others do your thinking for you is what got you into religion in the first place. Knock it off.

Christian theism best accounts for the U. source and singular beginning, order, and fine-tuning qualities, and is the best hypothesis for human beings: existence, consciousness, rationality, and free agency. it's the best explanation going based on the evidence and without an appeal to the future. this would explain why atheists need to keep reminding themselves that God doesn't exist along with the reason that human beings were made the image of God.

And I would hear the exact same thing from hindus or muslims or jews or..... any religion in fact.
