The dangers of faith

The moment that prayer cannot be paired with an event that occurs in the near future that can be spun as confirmation of god answering that prayer.

What does that have to do with things I've said, I mean really, are you serious. You think I did not know that Revelations was written before the Bible was put together in it's modern day form, get real. It was Jesus who said the word of God could not be changed, so when a man writes something he pulled out of his self serving and delusional mind it's not God's word and is not to be taken as such. Luke21:33 and Mark 13:31Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Matthew 5:18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. The Book of Mormon takes away from the law, that's what this deluded man intended.

Even if I thought it possible you were referring to something other than John -- the context makes clear you weren't -- the passage you quoted only supports that there will be no subtractions from the law, not that there will be no additions to the law. So, this is an even worse failure from an exegetical standpoint. And I must say that I find your attempt at a revisionist, ad-hoc attempt to rewrite your way out of trouble to be all too depressingly typical of your "God-given" morality.

So they sank not because they had inadequate faith but because they were testing God?

I mean I have, in the past, prayed for God to reveal himself to me. The bible tells us to. When does this become testing God?

Depends upon your reason as to whether you're testing God.

What is your standing on the 'missing' chapters of the bible?

I know of no missing chapters?

What are the appropriate reasons for testing god and what is the scriptural justification for them?

Really, if I make false statements in a book I'm writing, and it contradicts an original writing on the same subject by all means I've tried to subtract and add to the original, anyone with understanding knows this. So your little quip has no standing in this case.

So if their missing how do you know they were ever there to begin with.

Where the Lord says to test Him, in these cases it is God's request, a request to show man God's sincerity. God says to test Him on the tithe, try this one with the sincerity God ask and see if it works. God says not to test Him for selfish reasons.

RE: The dangers of faith
^ Luke 4:12

Satan told Jesus to jump off a cliff and make a show to everybody to prove he's guarded by the angels, and Jesus told, I will not tempt God.

So it basically means that if Jesus himself did not tempt God by jumping off a cliff, picking serpents or drinking poison, neither shall a christian do it.

Just pre-shitting his bullshit to prepare you for what's coming lol.
