Mr. M - I'm glad you shared your experience with us. Hopefully you'll come through it stronger and happier. You're a stand-up guy and deserve the best.

MrM, we gave you nothing that you didn't already have.

Not EVERY friend you meet in your life will stay until the end, some will fall by the wayside as soon as there is a wiff of trouble, some will travel for a while but will 'lose touch' with you eventually, others (like your wife) are in for the long hall and only want the best for you - your integrity intact, your growth in understanding the freedom to develop, celebration of those things you take pride in.

All my hopes that the interviews yield swift results..... Teacher! Get back into that classroom!

Heck, you've given us a lot. To experience the actual departure of a newly deconverted member from a religious organization is not something that we normally get to be involved in. It serves to give you a certain level of distinction around here that very few of us have.

Bravo, good sir.

They have supported you and encouraged you, but try putting "Christian" after your name and see how much love and respect you get on this forum. Take it from me - not much. You see, it goes both ways.

Oh, you mean like Jacob, whom we all universally hate and can't get along with at all? Dodgy

It's not because you're a christian, Lek. It's because, as this post aptly demonstrates, you're a fool.

Now that that's taken care of: Mr. M, you is a class act, top to bottom. And possibly some of the bits in between. I hope things continue to improve for you. Smile

Really? This is just the douchiest post of all time. Why are you here?

Mr. Moncrieff, I could not be happier for you. You seem a man of integrity, intelligence, and character. Those things are abundantly clear from just our short interaction. You earn what you get, and you earned it. Congratulations, my friend.

These posts demonstrate what I said Mr M. Look back on your posts. I wished you the best, but I guess I made the mistake of saying I'd pray for you. Go back and look at some posts by christians and see the reaction they get, not from everybody, but from many. I'm trying to show that you find it in all groups. I've been treated with respect and I've been treated with disrespect here, the same as you just experienced. I'm not trying to turn you against the members of this forum, but rather to have you look at things from all sides.

My suggestion is we not make this thread about Lek. How about that?
