This is a good thread. It is a thread for venting about the absolutely fundamentally most annoying thing about religion, which is the arguments people give to support religion.

Maybe if he managed to make a "delivery" system which didn't turn into a scene akin to that on a slaughterhouse floor, I could see some credibility to that statement.

Actually, I'll have to revise mine. Alvin Plantinga's "Evolution refutes Naturalism" argument and his bare assertion that God is self-authenticating are probably the dumbest arguments I've heard.

I wonder why does Platinga even bother with arguments? His belief is based on a feeling. He does not give a fuck about arguments.
