Jeeze .. you'd think the "real and not imaginary" holy spirit would have been enough of a debate ally, but I guess the rev's telepathic feel-o-meter is on the blink.

I am pleased to announce once again that God is good and has provided for me. This thread has met its objective. I am grateful and look forward to Argument#4. Clap Clap

You'll find (if you took the time to actually ask us) that the majority of us do have a life full of peace and happiness (etc).

Your stupid ass god is not needed. But if you need it for your life to be meaningful then good for you. But recognise that we don't.

And also recognise, as previously stated, that you cannot make restrictions on which members can and can't post here. That's not how the site works, so don't expect anyone to follow your demand.

I think whatever the future argument will be, the conclusion will still be the same - Pages of I believe/I don't believe, sprinkled with rants and attacks. The likelihood of you convincing an atheist to follow your beliefs are extremely low, especially since most members were once Christian and have already gone through their conversion. There is still no proof. Do you believe in innocent until proven guilty or branding them guilty unless proof is found? One is terrible for the monkey in the middle, and the other allows the people follow what they know and the monkey in the middle has time to present the facts to better their case. Science has offered more factual evidence that discredits the bible, while the Christians are given unlimited time and delivers no facts, no evidence and has even been forced to change some of their beliefs and take up evolution and god, Jesus rode on dinosaurs, and now even claiming that their Holy book is not suppose to be taken literally.

You are not here for our good. You are not here really even for your own good. You are here to indulge your own most infantile, uneducated, and morally disgusting fantasies.

You can serve our best interest by growing a brain, developing a genuine sense of curiosity about how tangible things really work, an this make yourself a useful human being, and abandon your atavistic infantile efforts to pitch some disgustingly barbaric Iron Age fable on our time and bandwidth.

I want to echo Castronaut here, Rev.

Do you appreciate how disrespectful and condescending it is to have you come in here with the goal of giving us happiness and "saving us?" You presume that we aren't happy and need saving. We don't. And whether you mean to be disrespectful or not, you are being wildly disrespectful nonetheless.

Your goal here is antithetical to the rules and purpose of this forum. You hide behind these "arguments," but it is obvious that you aren't interested in actually defending your arguments or even arguing in the first place. This is evident by the fact that in the first three pages we completely demolish your argument (or whoever's argument you stole), and the next twenty pages is us asking you difficult questions that you completely ignore, you responding to only the snide comments that people post, with one liners and Bible verses. It is very frustrating, especially as we have asked you to respond in a 'quality not quantity' manner. I refuse to believe that you are so dense that you cannot tell which questions actually deserve a response and which can be ignored.

I don't think you'll make it to #7.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Lol. You prayed for an ally and God gave you a Catholic who probably takes a dim view of whichever post-Protestant strip mall church you crawled out of. I'm sure that will work out well for you. Meanwhile, your previous three arguments lay in tatters, and your upcoming arguments will probably be no more compelling. Such are the myriad mysteries of Yahweh The Non-Existent.

You should have prayed for better sources and debating skills.

Dear Brothers or Sisters In The Lord,
Just looking to see if there are any of you on the board who would like to join in with me in responding to replies to a new thread I am planning on posting this week, Argument #4 of 7. I already posted 3 and when I post I get a lot of responses and it is difficult to respond to them all. I was thinking if I had another like minded Christian to help me that would be welcomed. Please only respond if you are motivated and well versed in Scripture. Please feel free to private message me. Thanks ahead of time and look forward to some good debating with others on the board.
Blessings,
REV777

P.S. - please responded quickly so we can move forward on this
Let me suggest that you post your thread on a Christian site(s). Then you can have all of the discussion that you like.
Just for the record - telling people that they are not allowed to post on a thread is NOT allowed on ANY site - regardless of whether it is religious, atheist, political, or secular.

So, this isn't about the merits of your argument one way or the other, this is just kinda simple logic, but... you do understand how insane it is to come here with a purpose, attempt to fulfill it, fail repeatedly, and then continue to repeat the same action in the hopes of achieving a different result, right?

You get how when things fail, you change your method to fit, yes? Dodgy
