I would also add that experience a prerequisite for definition which is a prerequisite for proof which is a prerequisite for belief.
@God's child- I think a key problem with the stance of "God is my life for without Him I would have no meaningful life " Is that meaning is derived from self and a lot of people do find meaning in life without God. I think if a lot of fundies accepted this, they'd push away a lot less "unbelievers" and shrink the division. Even God speaks about not scausing dissent.
Tackattack, I was referring to myself and no one else. God is my life and I would not choose to live any other way.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

A finite number of monkeys with a finite number of typewriters and a finite amount of time could eventually reproduce 4chan.

It amazes me that some people can only cope with their life by belittling others.Min your time would be better spent in the sandbox with other unruly kids.

All it takes is asking min, and I'll leave. If you can't take a little challenging of your world view and just want to pat each other on the back, I'd be more than happy to oblige.

Not most certainly... but true sometimes. Why be truthful with oneself if you are stupid enough that you can maintain a lie to yourself for the rest of your life? That seems like so much unnecessary stress. :Sleepy:
Glad to see that you have grasped subjectivity.... tis only a matter of time before you are an existential nihilist now ^_<

But what if I like you!?
Dogs shit in the sandbox too... but every time they are not doing that: people seem to like them. I seem to recall this being the religion subforum... so I don't see the problem. To use an offensive euphemism that I really don't mean offensively, but which I find interesting: This is the litter box off the side of the sand box

Why? :S
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

@Sae- While I like you too , if the simple fact of me being here and expressing my opinions and sharing my perspective, in any way, fosters bigotry or hatred I can not in good conscious continue in that course. I've met some crazy, smart, fun and open wonderful people on here and I really enjoy it. This is an atheist sandbox though, and while publicized as an open forum, it doesn't better society (virtual or real) for me to be here if unwanted.. even by 1...

You seriously would prefer these forums without the theists? Then we would be no better than the Christian Forums. Its a shame these forums don't allow for negative reputation points. They come here knowing they are entering the Lion's den, and while some are incapable of reasonable debate, there are a few who make good punching bags^H^H^H^H^H^H^H erm, i mean debating partners.
I welcome our theist friends and enjoy debating with them (and making a bit of fun of their beliefs). They are welcome to do the same to my beliefs (or lack thereof). As long as everyone plays by the forum rules I think we can all get along nicely.

Hey, I thought this IS the unruly kid's sandbox. That's why I'm here. The other sandboxes are no fun.
I'm just going to be unruly anyways.
