Christians. Could you be wrong?

Why should we take the bible at all seriously?

The field of study you're asking about is called abiogenesis, and it has been demonstrated through experimentation that the building blocks of life can arise from non-living components. However, given what I'm about to say below, I'm not inclined to go any further into that.

Sure he did . The cosmic background radiation is one of the biggest pieces of evidence. ( The white noise on the radio or TV) It's existence was predicted before it was discovered. That shows that science works.

The bible as evidence! You're having a tin bath mate ROFLOL

You mentioned redshift, which states the further a galaxy moves away the more redder it looks.
When typing this in to google I forgot the f in redshift. Lets just say they are two completely different topics.

You sure you want to wander on that slippery slope? Because I'm wondering if you think it's okay to believe in things that no one was around to observe, or if you think it's crazy to do so.

I don't believe in the Big Bang.

And for some reason you decided to focus on one piece of evidence and dismiss it for no reason, as if that makes all the others disappear?

See, it's a combination of multiple lines of evidence coming together; you're not going to be able to get around all of it by dismissing one piece of it... and dismissing is all you did do. You didn't provide any counter evidence, you just said "nuh uh!" I can't understand why you'd find that compelling.

Especially when you characterize the big bang as an "explosion" in that same breath, which again demonstrates how woefully uninformed you are on this topic. Wasn't an explosion, dude.

Aren't you the one claiming the gospels were written by eyewitnesses?

What you believe is irrelevant. What you can demonstrate and substantiate is all that counts. Belief is not evidence of anything other than that you believe it; and why should anyone else care?

However, let's entertain this belief for a moment. You say that "God" made life from non-life. Ok - how? By what mechanism or means? Can it be replicated? What is its predictive capacity and its usefulness?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Your evasion doesn't make that slope any less slick... Slick.

It cannot be replicated by humans because God is God and humans are no where near a powerful. Any way you cannot replicate life from non life.
