RE: Scientific Debate: Why I assert that Darwin's theory of evolution is false

(November 1, 2014 at 3:16 am)Rob216 Wrote: *Note: This is not a religious debate. This is a scientific debate about my opinion of Darwin's theory of evolution.
Most reasonable people agree on a few principles:
1. That everything has a beginning and an end.
2. That by observing repeatable occurrences the laws of physics are true.
3. That "universal logic" is applicable to determining facts (Example: I cannot exist and not exist simultaneously)
I hope that we can all agree that evolution and adaptation do exist in nature. All living creatures (animals and plants alike) can adapt to conditions over time. My argument is that Darwin's theory of evolution cannot be true because there has never been scientific proof of any one species adapting over time to be categorized as another species. Bacteria evolves into bacteria, fish evolve into fish, primates evolve into primates, etc.
Ok, I'll argue against my own statement above and say that species can evolve into other species. I'll say that humans evolved from an ape-like creature that evolved from a mammal that evolved from a reptile-like or amphibian-like creature (depending on if you believe that our origins are ocean based or land based) that evolved from bacteria that evolved from a single-cell organism. My issue with this is that 1. The single-cell organism would have had to have the ability to create itself. or 2. That organic life was created from inorganic materials. Both of these statements sound illogical because in order for something to be scientifically proven the conditions have to be tested and repeatable to be agreed upon as fact. As far as we know there is and has never been a new organism that created itself because that organism would first have to have the conscience to know that it is, in fact, creating itself. There has also never been any successful experiments that have proven that organic life can be created from inorganic materials.
I look forward to everybody's opinion on this. Please don't use religion bashing or science bashing as the basis for your opinion because, honestly, you'll just come off as stupid.
Nope, sorry, there is no debate and I really do not give a shit about those who deny evolution or allow their sense of empathy to "split" the baby out of some stupid sense of political correctness.
This is NOT up for debate at all. Evolution is fact, like gravity, and entropy and laws of thermodynamics. The only ones who look stupid are the ones who deny it.

Louis Pasteur, (born December 27, 1822, Dole, France—died September 28, 1895, Saint-Cloud), French chemist and microbiologist who was one of the most important founders of medical microbiology. Pasteur’s contributions to science, technology, and medicine are nearly without precedent. He pioneered the study of molecular asymmetry; discovered that microorganisms cause fermentation and disease; originated the process ofpasteurization; saved the beer, wine, and silkindustries in France; and developedvaccines against anthrax and rabies.
Pasteur’s academic positions were numerous, and his scientific accomplishments earned him France’s highest decoration, the Legion of Honour, as well as election to the Académie des Sciences and many other distinctions. Today there are some 30 institutes and an impressive number of hospitals, schools, buildings, and streets that bear his name—a set of honours bestowed on few scientists.
Spontaneous generation
Fermentation and putrefaction were often perceived as being spontaneous phenomena, a perception stemming from the ancient belief that life could generate spontaneously. During the 18th century the debate was pursued by the English naturalist and Roman Catholic divine John Turberville Needham and the French naturalist Georges-Louis Leclerc, count de Buffon. While both supported the idea ofspontaneous generation, Italian abbot and physiologist Lazzaro Spallanzani maintained that life could never spontaneously generate from dead matter. In 1859, the year English naturalist Charles Darwin published his On the Origin of Species, Pasteur decided to settle this dispute. He was convinced that his germ theory could not be firmly substantiated as long as belief in spontaneous generation persisted. Pasteur attacked the problem by using a simple experimental procedure. He showed that beef broth could be sterilized by boiling it in a “swan-neck” flask, which has a long bending neck that traps dust particles and other contaminants before they reach the body of the flask. However, if the broth was boiled and the neck of the flask was broken off following boiling, the broth, being reexposed to air, eventually became cloudy, indicating microbial contamination. These experiments proved that there was no spontaneous generation, since the boiled broth, if never reexposed to air, remained sterile. This not only settled the philosophical problem of the origin of life at the time but also placed on solid ground the new science of bacteriology, which relied on proven techniques of sterilization and aseptic manipulation.
Lastly, the theory of biogenesis was created by the ancient Greeks (but they didn't coin that term). They believed that living things could spontaneously come into being from nonliving matter, and that the goddess Gaia could make life arise spontaneously from stones – a process known as Generatio spontanea.
So it has been proven that life can not be created from things that are not already living.
Louis Pasteur performed those experiments to prove the existence of microorganisms, not to determine the origin of life.
Abiogenesis is one of the several ideas we have which attempt to explain the origin of life. However, abiogenesis is still a concept which hasn't been perfected yet, we still can't create new life and we don't know the exact components or requirements for doing so. However abiogenesis or 'origin from non-life' is the most plausible concept we have as it fits our current understanding of the universe, and also several of the key components required to build life has been found in space and especially in meteoroids.
As for evolution, I already gave you a video which should make it clear why evolution is not false. If you still have doubts, Aron Ra has a beutiful presentation on it as well, just google it up.

Stop feeding the nuts, this issue is settled. Adenine, Guanine, Thymine and Cytosine PROVE evolution as fact. Drudging up dead crap after the fact does not change shit. Yes I am being a politically incorrect dick. This is no different than if one were still arguing an earth centered universe when we know that the sun is the center of the solar system. This type of false debate is the same shit that allows climate change deniers to prevent our species to stop it.
Evolution is fact, there is no debate, this is merely flat earth dipshits clinging to the past.

Wow that was a lot of stupid ill informed words.
The start of life, abiogenesis is very different from stopping food get contaminated in a vessel..
You are comparing apples with the end cone of a Saturn five rocket.
They are different subjects entirely and only a cretin or a liar would conflate the two.

Don't disrespect someone just because they are ignorant. He seems like a religious brainwashed person trying to gain some knowledge which might help him break free eventually, so why not try and help him. Don't forget that there are less fortunate people on this planet than you.

I become weary of the torrent of people who have allowed themselves to become blinded to facts because they like to think their fairy stories are true.
This one seems proficient in google and writes well enough to think he has a reasonable level of intelligence, but he uses these things only to further his own stance.
He has no interest in learning, only in projecting the fake "truths" out there in the hope that if you spatter enough shit around some of it will stick.

Most religious people don't really blind themselves to the facts. Brainwashing starts at a very early age when they don't have a choice, and when they do get to that age to make decisions, the ideas are so ingrained in them by then, it's hard to imagine anything else being true.
I mean it's a bit like defending your favorite sports-team or pop-star, you'll try to defend them as long as you can even while overlooking some obvious facts which a neutral person can see, till it becomes totally impossible to do so. For example there are still fans who feel Gaga is a genius.

Nope. Political correctness does not help anyone. It is not a matter of oppressing people because they make stupid claims. Our species progress has always depended on questioning social norms.
