And these were people who already believed! How much harsher would god be with people who believed he didn't exist and blasphemed against him? He'd probably strike that person's whole family with cancer, then kill half of his neighbors just to drive the point home. Which would be something like "aren't you convinced that I am a just and loving god yet?"

All in all everyone is going to hell doesn't matter if you are the right religion or not. That's how i feel anyway on the off chance i am wrong saying there is no such thing or being as god.

Even to the point of following Thompson to an otherwise remote area of western Iowa and founding the town of Preparation.

Turns out, however, Thompson was a crook, and took advantage of his followers and by subterfuge gained title to all their lands and buildings. And what of his teachings and his church, since it was all a scam for him to make some money ?

Actually many great Americans as well as South Koreans fought and died side by side in that war to free my mother her remaining siblings and her parents...( My grandfather fought against the Americans in WWII not the Korean War. By then he was too old. )

What makes you think 'good' has anything to do with an easy existence? Nothing 'good' comes easy.
