The WTF were they thinking files.

Wow. Who the f*** are Krispy Kreme hiring to come up with their promotion schemes? Retarded monkeys? Even in UK any reasonably educated person knows, what KKK stands for... I really hope some people get fired - not as "punishment", but just because they are obviously to stupid to run even a doughnut shop. Who knows what other common knowledge they're missing...

.In other news the doughnut company is planing on a Swastika shaped doughnut that is "oven baked". Jews love the idea.

I do wonder though, would this actually offend anyone? I would have thought it just makes them look weird.
I'm not a fan of banning the use of initials in general. I mean, there was a company called BJ services. So what? Feel free to send me a private message.

What gets me is that this was concocted in a board room and several people had to oversee the marketing, and after all that someone still approved it?
HELLO MCFLY!
Sure, it's almost certainly a bad move from their perspective.

The only thing that offends me personally about the KKK fiasco is the fact that some morons with no basic knowledge of history - or perhaps not enough intelligence to make the connection - can be in charge of anything, other than a toilet brush. Rewarding dumb people with highly paid jobs is - in my opinion - a really short-sighted and dangerous thing to do. BJ is a fairly new term for oral sex, unused and almost completely unknown in non-english speaking countries. KKK symbols are recognized all over Europe (and probably the world) and their history is taught, or at least mentioned in most schools, when educating kids about slavery.

Sure. I mean, if there was any link at all indicated between this KKK and the well known one, then I'd call that grounds for offense. But if it happens to be the initials for something else, personally I don't see that as offensive. In this case they already had two Ks so it's not like the whole thing was a new concoction just to cause offense. It must have been a mistake, because it's obviously a terrible marketing decisions regardless.

It must have been a mistake, because it's obviously a terrible marketing decisions regardless. That is if we are giving them credit. The idea started in a boardroom either from the company itself, or from the marketing firm it hired. This isn't one person filtering this process. I find it hard to believe from the time the idea came out, to the time it was put out there to the public that there wasn't someone near the top of this process that didn't see the problem. It isn't the same as having the initials BJ, those are my initials. This had to be a bunch of sheep not wanting to upset their brain dead bosses. A big company like that has several people involved in the marketing process.
Of course it's a mistake. I just don't understand how anyone can be looking at this a number of times and not make the connection. And I don't want this kind of people earning a lot of money.
I'd be way more "fine" with it if they did it on purpose, to make a statement about initials being only initials, or as a publicity stunt. Or even if they were actually racist and wanted to bring the Klan to UK, through the medium of donuts - as feeble a plan as that would be. It's the stupidity and ignorance of people, who are supposed to be in charge that annoys the hell out of me. Just my personal peeve, I suppose.
