This law says a lot about the ignorance of the people in charge there, and how petrified they are of anyone disagreeing with them. These are countries I'd never want to go near if I had a choice.

Of course, they haven't the first clue what atheism is either. But that's not surprising, some theists who have been on an atheist forum for years still don't know what it is.

It's funny, in most countries with anti-atheist laws there is no problem with following a deity other than the norm. In Kentucky a sun worshiper is welcome by their laws even though that same person is completely atheistic toward the Jesus that they so covet. It doesn't matter that their 99% atheism doesn't overlap other's 99% atheism, only when someone shouts "the emperor has no cloths!" and has given up on all gods and is 100% atheist is there a problem.

This is why I believe that most theists know deep down that religion is a social con that they daren't admit, but they fear it may be real for someone else.

The sad part about that comment is some theists believe atheists are Satan worshipers. Again i do not believe in him either but he is the only character in the bible i probably respect the most if it turns out to be true and even still its just a made up story.

And of course all of these 13 countries are Islamic. You don't see any other kind of country punishing atheism with death.

It's perfectly legal and even socially acceptable to be irreligious in the vast majority of the Western World. It's the other way around for Muslim-majority countries.

Yes, but now that's all in the past in Western societies. In present time this still happens in Islamic countries.

What do you mean by past i mean we are still a hated minority in the US and even in some Westernized countries. Just because the law was overturned no to long ago it doesn't mean they are making things easier for us. The only real good thing is that well because of the internet and also how much knowledge we know now compared to then we are less ignorant and more and more churches are closing. Southern states tend to be the worst for atheists compared to the north and even still in the north there may be some backlash.
