I just got done slapping the Holy Spirit so hard he had to make himself visible just to beg me to stop.
He's a pathetic concept that doesn't even make any sense, a hangover from previous mythologies shoehorned into an already overcrowded monotheism. I'd kick him in the balls if he had any. The Mormons say the Holy Spirit doesn't have a physical body because he's been bad.
Some Mormons have speculated the Holy Spirit is Mrs. God, but that idea hasn't been canonized. At one time, Joe Smith denied there was a Holy Ghost, but later on the appeal of a very fucked up version of trinitarianism was better for his purposes than the relatively simple bitarianism he originally made up. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
