Argument from Reason?
#51
RE: Argument from Reason?
Why is this thread so long? Why isn't it the OP, and one definitive smack down, and everyone else just walking away in disgust that this is currently the best thread that the "philosophy" forum section has to offer?

Fuck. (And no offense meant to the OP, but it bothers me that Christian "philosophy" keeps getting thrown in with philosophy).

Did you know that philosophy was actually discovered in 1371 by an Irish man named Phil O'Sophy? It was later bastardized by his evil cousin Polly Jettics.

Phil has spoken of Polly and Eva(loushen), but Polly won't even recognise her existence! he's a stubborn proud bastard!

RE: Argument from Reason?
Polly is convinced that Eva is trying to replace him in Phil's life. I don't know where he got that idea. Eva just happened to do some auditing and it showed up some huge errors in Polly's books. Eva was only doing her job. Polly denied everything of course.

RE: Argument from Reason?
Polly's biggest gripe was that he could never see Eva doing her work, he just doesn't understand that her job is complex and takes time...
He also hoped his mate would win the job from the start. Can't remember his name, he just called him .I.D.

And I remember one day at a party, Polly just had to bring up Eva's past to his friend's and she went "bananas" at him!
He didn't take it well.

RE: Argument from Reason?
Whenever Polly brings up Eva's job, she has to explain that the part he's talking about isn't actually her job! It's the stage before the books get to her, which is taken care of by Abe. Polly just can't distinguish between the two people.

I wasn't sure where to post this, as I'm new here and really just wanted help responding to the argument. I feel like folks did offer some helpful comments and I'm appreciative of them. But I'm only checking back in for the humor here now. I'm sorry I ruffled feathers. Certainly made a bad first impression here. I hope I can contribute things of more value in the future.
