Can anyone explain what the hype is about? I've been seeing all this stuff on how CERN is evil and demonic and will bring about the "end times" on Sept. 23rd and 24th or some such nonsense...

I suppose I can answer my own question with two words, conspiracy theory... but where's the fun in that lol..
Lets here some thoughts from both sides...

I won't comment one way or the other due to lack of usable knowledge on the subject. I get a very low feeling about the possible implications though. It's not right by nature. Past that I have no clue.

oh ! that CERN. Its the large partical colider. It has been made to hopefully see reality at different speeds. maybe break down particals to see other unknown particals. Some have claimed it will make an expanding black hole thus destroying earth (starting in Europe). The religious however, fear that it may reveal too much about physics and there for prove the non existence of god (or maybe the existence). Either way it comes down to that line of science that religion doesn't want humanity to cross that they feel is God's teritory.

The LHC is a particle accelerator and particles in nature collide all the time so there is really nothing against nature at all.
The LHC is used to detect subatomic particles smaller than a atom. More or less the LHC is used to understand particles and
things in nature a lot more easily than taking guesses. As far as the LHC ending the world not possible.

These guys are really going nuts about it... talking about opening other dimensions and how "nephelim" will be coming through.. how CERN named 2015 the year of the light but its the false light, lucifers light not jesuseseses light.... oh and of course.. their logo has a 666 in it lol.. thats always a classic...
