Thus it is easy to justify the preservation of the Ten Commandments and the exclusion of the Satan statue.
Then let's put up a monument to the laws of Hammurabi.
They're much more comprehensive and are likely older.
And they have much more relevance in modern society than 10 "commandments" of which only a couple are actually in the laws of most nations: those against theft and murder.

The only commandments that have any use in law are:
Thou shall not murder
Thou shall not commit adultery (which is only really relevant in divorces since adultery is no longer a crime in most/all places in the US)
Thou shall not steal
Thou shall not bear false witness
They're also utterly mundane. Not unique to Christianity or its god at all. The other six are dumb.

If I were to do another literary themed username change right now, it would be to Locke Lamora (main character of the Gentlemen Bastards series). That name sounds somehow fitting here as well.

Having a monument of the 10 commandments makes Christians look stupid, in my opinion. It implies that they need a constant visual reminder not to murder everyone they see and steal their shit. I can remember stuff like that! Imagine a FSM commandment monument with, "Don't poke pasta up your arse! Don't cook pasta in your neighbour's duck pond! I'm serious!"
As has been pointed out, these are not even actually the 10 commandments anyway. The real ones are even less relevant.

Have no other gods before me! That's so important it makes the top 10!
There aren't any other gods of course. But I'm just saying! If there were, don't go having them!
I'm insecure, I know.
