Okay, I'll explain it to you all very carefully. "I say us white people should go burn down the businesses of people who had absolutely nothing to do with it." That's what I wrote. It's a social commentary because I'm alluding to recent behavior by black people in Ferguson and Baltimore . The admission on my part in the sentence itself ("..people who had absolutely nothing to do with it") that such actions make no sense reveal that I don't actually mean what I say. That's where the sarcasm comes in. I'm not actually saying white people should burn down buildings. I'm using sarcastic social commentary to make a bigger point about double standards. Do people get it now? Probably not.

Black fuck-up kills white people on TV

Oh, now I see why you said people here don't like you. You can be an asshole.
It's text only, dude. Sarcasm is mainly portrayed with voice inflection, so it doesn't come across well here. On top of that, people say wild things here, so nothing can be dismissed as too crazy. It's not everyone else's fault you failed to properly communicate. Don't get all pissy at everyone else for it.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
I have a low tolerance for people telling me what my own intentions were. But now that that's out of the way, feel free to discuss the issue of hypocrisy that was my point all along.

Do people get it now? Probably not. The demonstrations in Ferguson and Baltimore concern the issue of police brutality. The tragic shootings in Virginia today and the related SC church massacre are both lone gunman attacks carried out by mentally unstable civilians, with access to firearms. There were no riots are burning of businesses as a result of the lone gunman attack on the Charleston Church. These are two completely separate and unrelated issues. Do you understand that? If you're suggesting that Black people burn down businesses whenever a crazed active shooter targets blacks, I'm saying you're wrong. There is no double standard for this sort of event, except for the one you invented. That's my point. How are people to know when you're being sarcastic in a text-only format if you don't denote it in some way? I generally take what people say at face value. I have a low tolerance for people who aren't self- possessed enough to know when they need to alter their communication styles.
Nolite te bastardes carborundorum.
There was no police brutality in Ferguson. Mike Brown was the instigator. The "hands up, don't shoot" narrative never happened. As for Baltimore, the cops that arrested Freddie Gray were half white and half black. No racism there either. The shooting in Virginia clearly was racist though but it's not the kind we like talking about. In fact, it's not even really racism because at some point in the last few years we decided that racism by definition can't come from black people because of power structures or some shit like that. That's the double standard.
I'm particularly bad at missing humor/sarcasm in what people say and that has caused me some problems in the past but I had NO problem at all detecting Shinagami's sarcasm. He even made a specific post explaining it in detail for those who did. And he made a good point. Blacks do have an unfortunate history of destroying their own communities when they get pissed off at injustices done to them - including actions against those who had nothing to do with said injustices. It's a valid criticism - particularly considering the thread topic.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

You know what blacks really have an unfortunate history of? Not receiving the the dignity of been seen as anything other than as part collective, hive mind of some sort. It robs people of their individuality and humanity to the way you constantly reference 'Black people' the way some of you assholes do. As if black people are a single clump of dirt. If that's you feel, fuck you.

I thought it was racist sarcasm.
