Why do you call Lot good? no one is good except God.
The Bible says Lot was a righteous man.

I'm going to say that God doesn't like it one bit.
I don't like any god doing such a thing either. No excuse for abuse.

Fornication = unmarried, unapproved, and/or "casual" sex.
Going after strange flesh = rape? Angel rape? Gay rape? Virgin daughters of Lot rape? Raping anyone who came to town on visit?
I mean, doesn't it even cross your mind that you could be mistaken about the lesson of S&G?
The fact that Lot thought offering his daughters to the crowd makes it pretty plain that the Bible wasn't suggesting the crowd were homosexuals. They were rapists. It is common knowledge in the field of criminology that rapists, especially child molesters, care far more about power and control than they do about the gender of their victims. It's one of the reasons so many men are raped in the military, by otherwise "straight" soldiers, in addition to the women who are attacked.
Why is the lesson there not, "God burned cities where the society/culture of those cities thought that sexual assault was okay?"
All the cities in existence sinned but God destroyed those two cities specifically, and it's because they committed that particular sin - going after strange flesh. the lesson is that God hates that sin a lot.

according to the bible sin is what ruins our perfection. I have respect for myself. I realize my flaws.

Yeah, I get that. Why do you think it means "gay" and not "rape"?
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

Christianity isn't just against homosexuality, its bumping and grinding on it.

I'm going to say that God doesn't like it one bit. If you're going to comment on the fairy tale learn what the damn thing says.
Homosexuality had nothing to do with Sodom's destruction.

Don't you know? Sodom and its environs is going to be rebuilt to all of its former glory. If you act now you will be able to get some choice property at rock-bottom prices.

"Christianity" can be almost anything. Anyone can just believe whatever they want and still call themselves a Christian.
As for the bible, it isn't technically homophobic, but it is violently against man on man sex. Whether the men in question are gay or straight, the bible says (not in these exact words) that anal sex between them is punishable by death. A popular misconception is that the story about Sodom and Gamorrah is about god hating gays. It isn't. It's ironic we have the phrase "Sodomy". As an aside, we also have "Onanism" for masturbation, even though the story of Onan didn't mention masturbation at all.
The difference between sexuality and sexual acts is misunderstood even today by a lot of people, including many members of this forum. So the idea that they'd have known the difference back then is unlikely. If they'd have been able to properly establish the difference, I reckon it would have been explicitly homophobic as well.
Now, the bible says you should kill the men after they have anal sex. For anyone actually following what it says instead of making up their own shit, this would involve spying on people, and then organizing their execution after the act. However, in civilized countries, you can't get away with this kind of thing so homophobic Christians tend to settle for just making their life generally difficult. It's damn lucky secular laws overrule biblical edicts.
I guess the logic goes like this:
1) He looks gay / is with a man who I presume is his partner / is married to a man
2) Therefor he is gay
3) Therefor he has had gay sex at some point
4) Therefor I should kill him
5) But I can't do that, so the next best thing is to piss him off
6) I hope people are nicer to me when I come out than I am to them
