Most atheists have actually read the bible and I'm sure there's many who haven't. But at the end of the day can't we just agree that the Bible is kind of silly?

There's a reason polls consistently show that atheists know the bible better than Christians. Number two is always the Mormons.

I agree. There's no reason anyone should have to study the bible. I've only familiarised myself with it because a large percentage of people think it's real, and I want to be able to debate its content. But all you need to know is that it's a story which is extremely loosely based on historical events, in places.

Studying the history of the bible is much more interesting and telling.
