Do you beat yourself with guitars when you build them? If so put it on Youtube for our amusement.
Oh my I hope some angry feminists reply to this particular post.

Oh and you assholes saying "she died doing what she liked" yea so the fuck what. Blind gun worshipers have a tendency to vote Libertarian and or Republican, while not an absolute because there are liberal gun owners, that is mostly what I run into.
Because of her stupidity police and MEs had to show up, and that cost got dumped on the tax payers. So for those who bitch about spending, you cant have it both ways. So maybe insurance should be required for guns too.
NO? Ok that's fine too, then maybe we simply need to foster a better attitude in society about FUCKING THINKING FIRST about the difference between needing one and wanting one, and knowing the huge responsibility having one means in reality.

Personally, I can't tolerate children dying from guns - or any other manner as far as that goes. As far as negligent deaths resulting from irresponsible parents, mandatory training prior to purchasing/owning a gun could help. Those that can't deal with the "hassle" of training don't need to own one anyway. On any occasion you hear of a kid finding a gun and then shooting himself or someone else, you have a situation where a fucktard is being totally irresponsible and criminally negligent (my opinion).
The crux of this problem is what measures can realistically be taken to avoid these incidents while still respecting the millions of people who responsibly own a gun for sporting, recreational, and self-defense purposes. Add to that the fact that there are about as many guns as there are Americans and it presents an even larger issue. The cat is already out of the bag, as it were.
Now, if you're pointing to mass shootings and criminal acts that result in dead children, I'd posit that has more to do with American culture, guaranteed fame through media exposure, and other factors than it does with the availability of guns. I'm not saying that the availability is a non-issue, only the less dominant one in the specific phenomena of mass shootings.

If a kid was a lousy fighter the other kid sliced him up. Everything in the universe owns dangerous weapons. Some woman in Las Vegas just ran over 37 people. No one is calling for a ban on cars. If she had shot 37 people the nuts would be foaming at the mouth calling for all kinds of gun confiscation.

Going to the range today. Should be 10 to 15 different guns being shot. More than likely go through 500 to 1000 rounds. Been doing this in excess of 30 years.
I will more than likely vote Republican this year. I do have insurance, it's called Obama care (which sucks by the way).
Maybe today will be the day that stupidity kicks in. It's possible I could stop thinking after 30 years.

Nothing but fun yesterday, except when leaving. Hopped into the SUV, fired it up, the heater blew cig ashes into my eye and I about clipped a shooter. Need smoker/driver training! (hehehehe)

I've never had that problem leaving from my shooting range (a giant pasture). Ha. Actually, I hear there is a legit range opening nearby later next year. I'll have to check it out.
mh.brewer, you or I one need to make a thread with pics of new guns/existing gun collection. This place needs the balance. Besides, I have a sweet new Mississippi Heritage Edition Ruger LC9s with a Crimson Trace laser that I desperately want to show off.
