I think that you'd be the only person that could answer that question.  The practical upshot to a yes answer is that you're in college.........

Think practically.  Your brain will reward you for having sex.  Your brain punishes you for cutting off your toes with an exacto knife.  You don't need to bring abstract ideas such as meaning and purpose into the equation.  

If a brain is punishing someone so much that they want to commit suicide, that's just another math problem for the individual to analyze.  On one hand, you are missing out on any brain rewards in the future.  On the other hand, if you're dead, you won't care.

I totally get that.
But I've often wondered - why live?
To survive?
Why survive?
To enjoy the pleasures of life?
Are they really worth the hardships though?
After all, when you die, you just doesn't exist anymore, so why even bother?
All these years of hardships after hardships only to just die one day.
The reward is significantly lower than the effort you put in though, won't you say?
