On authority of the Qur'an the scripture we Muslims follow as the law. As soon as the media puts a stereotype out about what some Muslims are doing the world believes that's what our religion is about.

Go handle your own house, then..if you feel empowered to speak on behalf of the quran.   See what your compatriots make of that.

People believe that your religion is about whatever you emphasize. For example, you keep threatening us with hellfire...so islam is about threatening atheists with hellfire..if you're representative of islam.

I find the concept of an infinite afterlife incredibly scary, it's about the worst thing I could imagine. I'm comforted by the fact that I do my time here and then I get to rest.

Not that this sways my scientific opinion. There is no evidence of "an afterlife" or a "soul" or even a sensible definition of what the hell these are meant to be. It's all wishful thinking garbage, an inability to cope with the finality of death, and a desire to feel really special.

I remember reading that "heaven" can be a harmful concept, and can stop people being properly able to grieve after the loss of a loved one. I have seen this in action with someone I know They have been consumed by the fact that their loved one is "still here" somehow.

I had to laugh at "I'm comforted by the fact that I do my time here and then I get to rest."

The reason is that "rest" implies that you will resume action.  If there's no afterlife then you won't spend a nanosecond resting.  You will be dead forever, never to return to life of any kind.  

The fact that we use such words when talking about death indicates that we are brainwashed into believing in an afterlife even if we don't obviously accept it.

Allah doesn't exist.   Yahweh doesn't exist.  Neither does Jesus, Zeus, Mithra, Ahura-Mazda, Odin, Apollo, Osiris, Ra, Shiva, Rama, the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, or the Easter Bunny.

Then who created us where did we come from? I agree with u about all those other names except Allah and Jesus(PBUH). Allah is God Almighty and Jesus(PBUH)was one of His greatest messengers and prophets to mankind

If you believe in a deity do you believe in this as well?  You are simply a figment of my imagination.  You will cease to exist when I stop thinking about you.
