Wyrd: Sure, I didn't mean to say I would literally rest after I die, it was just a figure of speech. I mean I'm done and dusted, I have nothing more to do or experience. And of course, I won't exist to be aware that I won't have anything to experience.

It is very hard to think in terms of not existing. The mind seems to have a sort of fail safe which says, "What the fuck man? Get back to work!"

Just kidding but it did make me laugh.  It does indicate how brainwashed we are about so many things that we can't even express ourselves without giving credence to the very things that we don't believe in.

Yeah, words just don't work do they? They always seem to carry an implication of "something going on".

I guess it makes sense that the brain has no way to think about itself in the case where it no longer functions, because in that case, it would no longer be functioning and so couldn't access the protocol anyway...

What do you expect?  That faction was in absolute power for so long that it's been built into our language and set in stone at every cardinal point of our lives.  This is the greatest affrontery  of faith, imo.  They poisoned -all- the wells.
