How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?

@Aroura
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she recovers fully and you find a place for her. That's a stressful situation, make sure you have an outlet.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Yeah, all too often we forget to take care of ourselves in stressful situations like that.
Whatever you do Aurora, as has been said to Kingy also, you're not doing anyone any favours by letting your own mental and physical health suffer as a result.
take care.

Yeah, having a legal script would still raise eyebrows at my job, especially if it was for "back" pain. I suppose I could avoid using health insurance and pay for all related MD visits/costs out of pocket; Too much time, effort and extra $ to make make it worth it IMO, though. I'm going back up to the hospital tomorrow, but I'm scared to death and honestly, just all over the place emotionally. She's alive, she can talk and think still (it appears to have been a left hemisphere stroke, her right side is mostly paralyzed, but her speech and thinking seem mostly unimpaired except for a slur from the paralysis). Sorry to hear about your mom. I would suggest that you make a strong push for rehab. She'd have to be there for several weeks to a couple of months, but it's likely her best shot at returning to or close to her baseline. She may very well be able to return to her previous living arrangement afterwards. Whatever happens, it'll give you time to better assess the situation and plan accordingly.
Meh, okay.

Fuck, how did I miss this. So sorry to hear this, Aroura. I hope her recovery is quick and my thoughts are with you and your family. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
Feeling like a Rockstar.
