Neither option is good for me. 

I would not want to be an automaton spending eternity kissing somone's ass. But it would also be a shitty thing for a friend to invite you somewhere and then tell them to wait outside then realize they were just using you.

There really is truth to the entire history of anti Semitism. It really wasn't up until the 70s and 80s that Jews in America became more trusted. While we did have sympathy for the Jews of WW2 Germany, but even America still had far too many xenophobes afraid of anybody that wasn't white and some sect of Christianity, mainly Baptist and Protestant.

Back when Falwell started his "Moral Dipshittery" in the 60s he was waffled on support of Jews, and at best simply supported those he was seeking to convert, but not liberals of any religion.

The greatest weapon we had in WW2 wasn't a bomb, or a fancy plane, or even our permanent war footing (which didn't exist -until- then). It was distance and span across oceans, and the fact that the fighting was in someone -else's- yard.
