What educational advantages were you given not accessible to non white peoples?
I did just post previously that Asians and other none whites perform superior to whites academically and have greater income on average, or maybe it was the medium income, something along those lines
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Access to schools with adequate funding.
You see, here in America schools are funded by property taxes which are based on the assessed value of the housing.
Obviously, in ghettos and run-down neighborhoods, that means that the school disctricts there have smaller budgets (due to lower property values), and usually (because they are largely apartments rather than single-dwelling homes) a higher population of students to serve.
More students/less dollars = lower educational opportunities.
And because minorities are more likely to be poor, they are more often found in ghettos.
It's really not that hard to understand.

In my opinion: White privilege is the vague/general tendency, intentional or not, to consider white individuals as being reasonably intelligent, trustworthy, competent, etc., unless they demonstrate themselves to be otherwise. It's quite the opposite much of the time, if you're a member of many minority groups.
Even being viewed through the lens of neutrality up until individual merits are assessed, presents an advantage over having opinions formed about you based on "the statistics" of people who happen to share your physical attributes, unless you demonstrate otherwise.
How that advantage pans out, depends on countless other factors, of course.
But, as a "leg up" it does exist.

some none white groups have a higher median household income than whites.

Indian Americans, Iranian Americans, Taiwanese Americans, Maltese Americans. Asians as a whole racial group have a higher income than whites.
So if a privilege is an advantage granted to a specific group then I don't know what group this would be classed as but I wouldn't class it as white. There seems to be quite a few groups who are doing pretty well in America other than whites who do have darker skin.
Asians also perform better academically than whites, again making it not a white privilege in income or in education.

But speaking as an american (US) it's kinda silly imo. 63% of the country is white. It's the "default" position. As white you get all the standard benefits and considerations.
Whites make up about 59% of those incarcerated, vs 38% of blacks who are only 13% of the population.
10% of whites are in poverty vs 27% of blacks in the US.
41% of whites have college degrees vs 22% of blacks.
The "default" position seems pretty good. So white racism, is what? Reminding white people how they have it better? Like the term "Honkey". Oh noes! A slur because what, white people have so many more opportunities and fewer pit falls?
*all stats were just quick googles.
If you think racism against white people doesn't exist, you are mistaken. Racism is something that can be felt by someone of any race against any other race.
Institutional racism doesn't have as negative of an affect on white people. I do think that companies being legally required to hire a specific amount of minorities is racist and can be racist against white people but it doesn't hurt white people on any real level we are still more likely to get jobs.
Racism just plain racism like...a person thinking one race is superior to others or thinking one race is inferior to others on a personal level...that's just as hurtful to all races.

Racism is a belief that certain races are superior to other races.
That's it.
That's all you need to be racist. You need to believe that.
It doesn't matter if you are a white guy believing that white people are superior to black people, or a black guy believing that black people are superior to white people.
If you believe that, you are racist.
What you seem to confuse racism with is institutional racism. Institutional racism is not a belief, it's a practice, by society / government that actively discriminates against certain races.

I think your both missing what I said and instead arguing a point you want to make. I understand what racism is, both institutional and personal. However, in the US, racism against white people, IMO, is silly. On both levels. I explained why I think it is so.
If either of you feel it's a serious matter then please help me understand why that is.
If it's just a high horse thing and your intentionally misreading my post then, pls don't do that.

I liked this preliminary study: http://www.techinsider.io/people-who-cor...nds-2016-3
From the Article:
Quote:More importantly, the team found a separate (though somewhat small) negative correlation between a person's level of agreeableness and their likelihood of highlighting the errors. The least open-minded people, in other words, were the ones who stood out as the grammar police.
So typo-obsessed people beware: Your actions do speak louder than words.
Hypothetically, if I'd point out to the author of that article that typos and grammar mistakes are by no means the same thing and shouldn't be conflated, what does that make me? Worse than Hitler?
Hyperbole is something you do well, and I think the writer knew what they were doing.

I thought I was arguing that point. You think it's silly to be belittled and made to feel like you're less valuable because of your skin color if you're white? I know some kids who will disagree with you.
My point was just that on an individual basis racism is never silly and it hurts just as bad when your skin is white.

Indian Americans, Iranian Americans, Taiwanese Americans, Maltese Americans. Asians as a whole racial group have a higher income than whites.
From that link:
Quote:Asian American : $74,105[1]
Pacific Islands American : $58,859[1]
White American : $57,355[2] (includes White Hispanics)
Total Population : $51,914[1]
Native American : $38,806[1]
African American : $37,227[1]
I've emphasized the part where your link supports my point. When you consider the numbers of Asian-American households versus the number of black households in America, you will see why this counterpoint doesn't refute the idea of white privilege. The fact that Asian-Americans at about 5.5% of our population don't suffer the issues of racial discrimination in the same manner that blacks and Hispanics (30% of the population) suffer from racism.

I guess you'd have to consider the socio-cultural history of America to understand why Asians don't suffer the same discrimination as do blacks and Hispanics. If you think whites don't have a leg up in American life, you're delusional. Of course, I only live here, and lack the expertise you have garnered from your reading. I only hope you start reading stuff that challenges your opinion about this soon.

This is a straw-man. What I wrote was that whites have access to better education, not that they perform better academically. Perhaps you should read for content rather than rhetoric next time.
