This picture is funny because the most prominent business you can make out is the CVS, if that is a Home Depot way back in the background it would make the add seem like "Yea, we support you, but don't let the locals know which one you posted pictures at".

The shooting was definitely good for business.  One gun shop has sold over 30,000 AR15s in the past week.  That's one heck of a job stimulus.

Well REGULATED militia, suckahs. So yeah, you're getting regulated regarding what guns are appropriate for you to own and who is fit to be entrusted. And if you so much as make a face we're kicking down your door with jackboots and taking your damned toys away.

There was this loudmouthed employee at work who was talking about this gun issue. I kept silent as usual, because I enjoy listening to the ignorance that others spew.

He was stating that he wished he could carry a weapon at work, because who knew what kinds of nutjobs could enter the work place to blow us all away, and he further continued his diatribe by stating that at least having a gun on himself would allow him an opportunity to protect himself or save the lives of others so that he could be the hero of the day.

What a fucking dumbass.

Imagine if a lot of people in the club had been packing.  The killer starts shooting.  The packers draw their guns and start shooting at the people who are shooting.  No one knows who he's shooting at because people are falling like raindrops.  The cops barge in and shoot all of the survivors.  Everyone in the crowd ends up dead or dying.

The best option is to rush the guy.  As the first rusher chances are very good that he will kill you but you're a goner anyway.  It gives other people time to swarm the guy if they come at him from all directions.

I hate male testosterone, not all men are cut out for the battlefield and just like any threat of violence, even in street crime, and rape, it isn't fight or flight as either or, but whatever got you to the point of survival is what worked. Blaming people fleeing war is sick, even today. If I got that wrong correct me.

You probably misunderstood. I was in a gun debate on a different board some years ago. Might have been in the wake of Newtown. And there was this ever reccuring argument of defending oneself against the state. I brought up my grandfather as an example, to show that it's not always possible or the best solution to stay and fight. Didn't sit well with certain people.

Like... the kind of nutjob carrying a weapon at work, perhaps? Dumbass indeed.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
