The shooting was definitely good for business.  One gun shop has sold over 30,000 AR15s in the past week.  That's one heck of a job stimulus.

How fucking sick on top of being hypocritical. Every asshole who went out and bought a gun after screaming they want to keep them out of the wrong hands, is literally saying it is ok to profit off the misery of others.

How fucking insensitive and selfish does a human have to be to get to that low level of paranoia?

When you buy a firearm after mass murder you are literally rewarding bloodshed. FUCKING SICK.

I'll bet that everyone wanted a jawbone of an ass after Samson used one to kill a thousand men.

Yea, way to defend a book of myth and stupidly think I am making a similar metaphor.

Ok Einstein, don't know how much more simple I can state this.

We have a gun death epidemic in America. But only a fucking idiot thinks the GOP/NRA has any interest in problem solving. I have seen their shell game since I was a teen and I am 49.

Gun deaths have steadily declined in the last twenty years, even as both population and available guns have grown in quantity.

One more reason you can't be taken seriously: You ignore facts.

Ok, which is why out of all the first word nations who we call our allies we are leaders in the least amount of gun deaths, NOT! Gotcha, make you a deal, when we get to Japan's gun death's stats then I will shut up. But as it stands now, we are still on average tops of the gun death category for 1rst world nations. Way to settle for less.

More fucking excuses. "It's getting better". Yea, that is why one president out of all our allies has had to make the most public statements about gun violence, 16 times in 7 years. Way to aim low.

We could have made two announcements and ended -all- statistically significant gun death in this country.......

-Universal mental healthcare, specifically suicide prevention,  60% of gun deaths annually.
-The end of the war on drugs, the remaining 40%.

...but...we'll probably squander political capital on "gun control" instead...like we always do, thus ensuring that neither of those stats registers a blip.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

No! It is not "squander" to say that love of weapons isnt' more important than reducing violence to get rid of weapons.

Those stats don't change, because more guns are good, they don't change because humans are tribal.

No?  Then why haven't those numbers changed in all these years? Who's your opposition? Who says that love of guns is more important than reducing violence?

Looks to me like you're arguing against no-one, in favor of accomplishing nothing.

Well, first of all I'm not settling for less; that's a concoction of your febrile mind. Secondly, I'd wager that our population has something to do with it too.

Since you clearly missed my point, I'll make it clear for you. If gun availability were the biggest predictor of gun deaths, we should expect to see gun deaths climb in proportion to gun availability. The fact that we don't tells me that there are other factors at play here.

Uh, I wasn't making excuses. I was pointing out a raw fact. In science, when a hypothesis cannot account for observed facts, it is discarded. Now we'll get to see exactly how rational you are on this matter.

My prediction -- not bloody likely. You will ignore any and all other causes as you pursue you pet bugbear. Great, have at it.

But fer Chrissakes, quit bellyaching when someone presents actual facts. Quit imputing views to them colored by the filter of your own limitations. Listen to what they are saying, especially when they disagree with you.

And -- please link to the post of mine where I said a declining murder rate makes murder okay. Or, on the other hand, redact your bullshit assertion.

He apparently had an affair with a HIV+ guy and wanted "revenge".

I think the guy is wearing a mask and had his voice disguised for identity. Not sure how believable this yet is but eh, was interesting to hear.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable."
