A good friend of actually had heart palpitations because of them at one point. And holy shit the sugar content is ridiculous. Safe to say it's been a couple of years since I had one.

I drank 8 consecutively once. After the first 4 I was hyperactive as fuck. After the 8th I was just sitting still shaking unable to move.

Half an hour later I was fine.

Not doing it again though, not since I have read stories where even teenagers have had heartattacks from them. Fuck.

TBH this was a few years ago now when I was depressed and I legitimately wouldn't have cared what the consequences were...

Nowadays I'm extremely extremely fucking happy

Furthermore if I ever got that depressed again I now know things can get better and no matter how depressed I get it's never permanent so.... I'm stronger now

I used to drink them habitually when I played poker seriously. Yeah, I stayed awake, yeah I stayed sharp, yeah I could stay up all night fleecing donkeys, but it wreaked havoc with my mental and physical health. I rarely have one now, usually only when I have to drive for several hours. Maybe 2-3 a year.

I'm sort of half-addicted right now. I'm not actually drinking any energy drinks anymore.... until I see a new flavor in the store and I end up trying it and then start drinking them regularly again.

No matter how addicted right now though I can't buy any because my fear of not being able to pay my bills is stronger.

Having money issues... related to my stupid bitch of an ex-girlfriend.

I once drove home after six pints of rock shandy (orange and lemon, no alcahol) in about two hours. I felt in less control than the time I cycled down the hill of Nicker pissed drunk. Sugar binges really fuck you up.
