Hillary Picks Tim Kaine for VP

Hilary Bots knew what they were voting for. Hilary is to blame for her terrible polling numbers (despite already spending tens of millions already). Bernie was simply highlighting just some of Hilary's many flaws. Don't want Trump as president? Should have voted for Sanders.

I did vote for Sanders. I spent money and time campainging for Sanders. He lost. By more than 120,000 votes in my state. No matter how much propaganda you like to spread around (despite your nym), Sanders lost. He lost by damn near 4 million votes nationwide. It wasn't as close as you like to think.

If you were a Bernie supporter, the very idea that you all of a sudden support Trump means you either didn't really care about the actual positions of Bernie Sanders or you were just excited by the youth movement. Or maybe both. Whether Clinton deserves it or not, whether she should be the nominee or not---it's fucking irrelevant. She is going to be the nominee for the Democratic Party. This "Don't like Trump, should've voted for Sanders" stuff is just garbage. Don't like Trump, vote for Hillary.

First, I think we're seeing a convention bounce for Trump, and not a sea-change in support.

Secondly, I entirely disagree with Trump being stronger on foreign policy. Objections based on his personality and style may or may not prove accurate, but the guy wants to poke China with a military show of force that could well start a war. Diplomacy and foreign relations calls for a circumspection that he has at no time I know of displayed.

And I shudder to think of his Supreme Court nominees.

Am I fucking missing something ??
He seems pretty bland to me. What's the problem?

"old white fucks" have had a lock on the presidency until Obama.  Assuming Hillary wins, and god forbid the brain artery congestion thing comes back, she has ordained the mantle of the presidency to go back to an "old white fuck".

I just had the expectation Hillary wouldn't have that back up plan.  I feel we've been subjected to quite the ordeal of late trying to get a woman into the damn White House, and I don't want it to revert to business as usual, that is, putting it back the way it was, before we've had a full term, if something happens.

And it isn't that Kaine is going to subvert somehow whatever Hillary's goals are, it's the message, the optics, the retreat from that shattering of the ultimate glass ceiling that's annoying.

Obama selected Joe Biden who was an 'old white guy'.

Not really surprising considering women, blacks, and hispanics have been historically underrepresented in the Senate and in the House. There's only been 9 black senators, and only 2 currently in office. There have only been 31 women senators (20 currently in office). 3 Hispanics currently in the Senate. Hopefully we'll see this continue to change, though.

Point taken about diversity but I don't want to see someone penalized just because he's an old, white male.

I don't personally like trump but i would prefeer 4 years of him or 2 depending because
he gives up on a lot stuff, rather than 4 years of Hillary. She has really really bad judgement
and bad foreign policy.

I can understand why it seems like this, but one of the biggest cries for Hillary was to include youth and diversity in her campaign. I understand the pick, and research afterwards curbed my initial reaction to Kaine.

Him against Pence on a debate stage is going to be gold. Pence's history is littered with difficult things to defend, while Kaine's moderate appeal will be high. I had wished someone like Julian Castro would have been picked, but I understand what a waste in Texas that would have been.

Dyre, his minimum term is four; you'd have to get a successful impeachment or death in office to get your two-year choice.

So you're not really a Bernie supporter. If you were, you certainly wouldn't prefer Trump over Hillary being that Hillary's positions are far closer to Bernie's than Trump's are. So what are you?
