I have this gizmo on my satellite service that lets me watch one thing now and one thing later. So the debates are scheduled against American football...so what?

I love his latest temper tantrum, I think it's all related.
Now the fire marshalls are against him for not allowing him to exceed building codes. He had to turn people away from his events.

Why is no one connecting these dots? I mean if you seriously planned and scheduled an event without checking something basic like the maximum occupancy for the room you are booking, how are you supposed to be president?
This is clearly a run up for making everything seem unfair, so he can try to legitimize his decision to skip the debates.

The point is, he won the primaries pretty easily. If it was rigged, it was an awful attempt.
2) Whilst the DNC helped to rig the primaries for Clinton, ultimately the DNC and the RNC are private organizations that aren't exactly accountable to anyone other than their members. It is an entirely different story for the actual election, which is run by the government. All in all, I would like to think it's harder to rig a general election than it is to rig a primary, so I don't see how his complaint holds any merit.
One slight quibble. The states run the elections and the republicunts have been trying to rig them through voter suppression laws except the courts keep striking them down.

Trump undoubtedly knows he could keep the attention of his core electorate for much longer after losing the election, and stay on the marginal national scene and make a lot more money selling books and giving speeches in the bargain, if he had claimed all along that the election was rigged, instead of claiming it as an ex post excuse for losing.
While trump is commonly recognized to be the most ignorant, egotistical and stupid person to head a major party ticket in perhaps all American history, I think what is often overlooked is the fact that he is also by an even larger margin the most cynical man ever to head a major party ticket.
This is quite fitting for a party which has become the most cynical ever to rule the house or the senate in American history.

If his sole purpose in running for president was to parley a loss into book deals and speaking fees...
I will only have one response...

Trump losing merely the presidential election for the GOP would hardly be sufficient comeuppance for a party that, through its own relentless cynicism starting in 1994, accidentally scored a own goal in the form of a trump. Only crushing defeat in the house and senate, most governorships and state legislatures, and being relegated to small ineffectual, sub-1/3 minority status in both chambers of the congress and most state legislature for the next 50 years could serve as adaquate lesson for what not to do as a national party.

The worst thing about Drumpf is that he will not put an end to the incessant conservatard whining that "if only we nominated a TRUE conservatard." The tea-bagging shits will go on whining about fucking jesus and abortion and boys kissing. If Cruz or one of the other 16 fuckheads had gotten the nomination the GOP might finally have been able to move on from this wet dream of a theocracy that they have.
But we are destined to go through it all again in 2020 because the fuckers just won't learn.

I don't think his main goals are book deals and speaking fees. His annual revenue from his Realestate empire is around 30 times what the Clintons earned through speaking fees and book deals during all of the last 15 years.
I think his main goal is to bind some disgruntled know-nothing segment of the electorate to the name trump, and through them create a trump political family dynasty. He probably has the Kennedy family, or even the bush or Clinton family in mind. But unlike these other families, which, even the Bushes, all at some point had demonstrated positive outlook for the republic, outstanding public service, professional political skill, or impressive policy mastery with which to found political dynasties, trump seem to be totally cynical and regard greasy fortune and pure demoguagary of the crudest kind as sufficient basis for establishment of political dynasty in America. Even the unscrupulous bootlegger and Nazi sympathizer Joseph Kennedy Sr had sufficient respect for the American republic and the deserts of the American electorate to not run himself, but give his offspring the necessary training and experience to pursue a proper public political career.
