Lol, poor LP. Always getting lynched.

That is such crap! YOU are the customer. YOU are the one who is paying their salary in this scenario.... Oh wait, do you live in US or one of the few other places where health care is a for profit endeavor? If not, carry on then. And congratulations Daddy-O!

May as well get some sleep. This'll be your last opportunity for about a year. :-)
This is the truest statement I've ever heard.
You don't get your sleep back until they've flown the nest.

Try to relax though, LP. I'm sure everything is going to be just fine. [emoji846] Your wife made such a nice, comfy home for the little guy in there he just doesn't want to leave! [emoji7]
She hasnt bursted her waters yet. Just in to induce labor. When it starts I will be able to stay with her. Right now only during visiting hours.
That is so bazaar to me. I went into labor around midnight, my third time with my second child, drove myself to my friends house (yes I did.) Drive to the hospital, got there around 2am and my friend was in the room the entire time. They said I wasn't dilated enough and were going to send me back home. I told them fuck you, I am not leaving this hospital until I have my kid. My contractions were five minutes apart and had been for hours. They broke my water around 10am and induced me around two in the afternoon. I finally had her at 7:43pm and not once during all that did my friend ever have to leave the room. Even when I was getting my epidural, she stayed in the room.
Heck, by the afternoon, I even had other friends dropping by to see how I was doing. I was allowed two people in the room, even while pushing during hard labor.
Good luck LP. I hope your wife has your little one soon

It is a half private half public hospital. A publico-private endeavour as they say. We don't pay a thing as its under NHS. The conditions are great and the staff amicable. They do have rules. Once her waters break or she has to go to c-section, I have the right by law (so, a previlege), to be with her. Save medical conditions where my presence would constitute a risk to her amd our baby, rightifully logged in the med chart.

Supportive chant. Come on, join in!
Push em out, push em out, waaaayyyy out. (insert grunt) Push em out, push em out, waaaayyyy out. (insert gasp of pain)
