God started the war in syria, then...or "withheld his protection"? Was he protecting them before? Why, what for? What from?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I do have five children. And if I knew that three of them would turn out to be murderers--I would certainly make sure that I was involved in their life to make sure to prevent that from happening. I wouldn't be absent, invisible, hoping to influence them through a book written long before they were ever born. Instead I would, as much as I do now, be involved in their lives and teach them love and compassion for other human beings. And I would do so DIRECTLY. I wouldn't expect them to get it from a book--that's just asking for trouble. Nor would I ask a friend of mine to do it. I would do it myself.
The whole tone of Church teaching in regard to woman is, to the last degree, contemptuous and degrading. - Elizabeth Cady Stanton

Would you want an arranged marriage or one created out of love. He does not force us to love him because that wouldn't actually be him loving us now would it. He doesn't punish you for not loving him? Doesn't he send people to hell for not loving him? Which is it? How does this analogy work in relation to that? Should we punish people for not accepting marriage? (October 3, 2016 at 5:08 pm)lighthouse Wrote: He is all powerful. He is all love and all good. By just allowing it to happen, is he showing love? Please define love in your own words. I keep asking and you keep not answering.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

I've asked the same question and here is the answer I found: http://www.tentmaker.org/articles/Eterna...Greek.html The entire concept of eternal or everlasting punishment hinges primarily on a single verse of Scripture-- Matthew 25:46. This is the only place in the entire Bible where we find these two words together AND only in some Bibles. There are over a dozen English translations which do NOT contain the concept of "eternal punishment" on ANY of their pages, NOR the pagan concept of Hell. The Greek form for "everlasting punishment" in Matthew 25:46 is ”kolasin aionion." Kolasin is a noun in the accusative form, singular voice, feminine gender and means "punishment, chastening, correction, to cut-off as in pruning a tree to bare more fruit." "Aionion" is the adjective form of "aion," in the singular form and means "pertaining to an eon or age, an indeterminate period of time." God prunes our sins/aberrant growth of the soul because he loves us. Acknowledgement of wrong doing and repentance is self judgment and a letting go of aberrancy by the Grace of God. Resistance to consciousness creates heat in the soul just as surely as a bad conductor does when electric current is passed through it. The dross is burned off and this is for a limited time, not eternal. But there is a final judgment of the universe: 11 Then I saw a great white throne and the One who sat on it. The earth and the heavens fled from His presence, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And there were open books, and one of them was the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead, and each one was judged according to his deeds.…14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. Both death and hell are destroyed. Hell cannot be eternal.
